Great Dane Photo Adventures (or GDPA, if you’re into shortcuts) is where real-world photography education meets creative adventure. Whether you’re picking up a camera for the first time or leveling up your pro skills, we’re here to help things click, both technically and creatively.
Founded by professional photographer Amy Johnson, GDPA is built for photographers of all levels. You’ll get clear instruction, hands-on practice, and a supportive community of photo nerds and creative misfits who totally get you.
How Learning Works Here
Base Camp
Every adventure needs a base camp. This is yours. It’s where you’ll find resources, FAQs, community chats, and everything else you need to feel grounded and supported while you learn.
Grow Together with Live Zoom Calls
Hop into small group coaching where you’ll get personalized feedback and work through real challenges alongside other photographers facing the same creative questions. Think of it as a group brain: smart, supportive, and probably way too into gear specs.
Daily Support in the Feedback Forum
If written feedback is more your style, jump into a plan that offers (almost) daily written feedback and discussion of your images.
Learn in the Field
Take your learning on the road with hands-on workshops in picturesque spots across the U.S. Small groups, real-time feedback, and plenty of time to shoot, experiment, and soak it all in. It’s like a photography road trip, minus the bad gas station coffee.
